What We’re Looking For

Durham Success Summit is offering a hands-on, in-person internship experience for Fall 2025 designed for college students interested in nonprofit leadership, education, workforce development, community engagement, and digital strategy. This opportunity is ideal for students seeking real-world experience while earning academic credit.

Interns will support DSS operations across five key tracks: Development, Digital Marketing & Social Media, Operations, Program & Events, and Data. You’ll work closely with a small team, have real deliverables, and contribute to an organization building opportunity for young Black men in Durham.

Internship Tracks & Responsibilities

📈 Development Intern

• Research prospective funders and corporate partners
• Support grant writing and reporting projects
• Track donor data and outreach in Airtable
• Assist with planning the Annual Gala and partner events
• Draft fundraising and sponsorship materials

📊 Data Intern

• Maintain and organize program and engagement data in Airtable
• Assist with monthly reporting and metrics tracking
• Analyze trends related to outreach, attendance, and alumni engagement
• Support the impact storytelling and strategy team with insights and dashboards

📣 Digital Marketing & Social Media Intern

• Assist with content creation for Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok
• Design graphics and visuals using Canva
• Schedule and track weekly posts and campaigns
• Support alumni highlights, event promotion, and partnership visibility
